We had another great evening at Wrights of Frinton butcher’s for the second year! Our head chef Henry Smith cooked up delicious, FREE venison burgers. Owner of the Blue Garden Cafe and farmer Guy Smith gave a live talk inside about local venison, as head butcher John gave a live demonstration of the best cuts! We were also very fortunate to be joined by our local Adnams for the best drinks in town for the evening. Field to Fork, to the National Cake Awards

Congrats to our young super-star chef Dan Farley whose ‘Quince Whirls’ have been shortlisted to appear in the finals of the National Cake Awards held at the Food Show at the NEC in late April. Having perfected his whirl bakes Dan has added a bit of local zest in the fillings by using Quince jam in the fillings.

Salvation Army at Blue Garden - December 16th
